Myself and Barry were lucky enough to be invited to the first vRetreat event of 2019 recently. The event was held at Stamford Bridge, the home of Chelsea Football stadium.
The day was sponsored by Cohesity with Stuart Gilks and Ian Panting presenting. The Cohesity team had lots of new announcements, detail and information about their products.
The first, and possibly most interesting are covered was their new service that enables enterprises to run applications directly from the Cohesity platform. This was a bug announcement as it was only announced on 26th Feb! The benefits of this capability are:
- Extracting maximum business insights
- Increasing efficiencies while reducing costs
- Increasing visibility and data compliance

Throughout the day, Cohesity also covered their ability to support and back up Office 365 data with Exchange online which is part of their core data protection functionality. To find out more about how they offer this, click here.
The last area covered on the day was their Helios platform which provides a single view and management of all your secondary data and apps, whether they are in the cloud, on-premises or edge.
