Recently I have been deploying a lot of VMware virtual appliances and have started to use PowerCli to do this consistently and to aid with automation.  Although not a particularly new technique, this video by Alan Renouf has been available for a few years, I wanted to capture the steps for my records and hopefully share with those that are not aware of the process.
